Every family we met had the same missing hire.
The wealth was organized. The information was not. A principal would have fourteen custodian logins, a folder of capital call notices, and a spreadsheet maintained by whoever had time, and no reliable answer to a simple question about what the family owned that morning.
Reporting software existed. It assumed someone on the family's side would load the private book, map the entities and reconcile the exceptions every month. For most families that person did not exist, and for the ones where it did, it was the most expensive clerical job in the household.
So we built the platform and staffed the work behind it. One flat fee covers both, and the family stops being the fallback.
What we hold to.
- 01
We hold data, not assets
No trading authority, no payment rails, no products. Our only job is the record.
- 02
The work is the product
Software that hands the labor back is not finished. A named team does it, permanently.
- 03
Growth is not a fee event
We charge for scope, never basis points. A better year should not cost more.
- 04
Discretion by default
Clients are named only when they choose to be. References happen by phone, arranged individually.
The practitioners behind the platform.
Abacus keeps a working network of specialists our clients already needed: estate counsel, tax practitioners, valuation firms, insurance advisors, custodians. We make introductions, take no fee for them, and stay out of the engagement.

We hire people who like the unglamorous part.
Service leads, data engineers, and private markets analysts. If reconciling a restated fund valuation sounds satisfying rather than tedious, we should talk.
