About Abacus

Built by Family Office Professionals, for UHNW Families

Abacus is owned and run by individuals who have spent their careers in family offices — within their own families or as executives. We built this product because we lived the problem.

Why We Built Abacus

We are entering the largest generational wealth transfer in history. Over the next two decades, an estimated $84 trillion will pass between generations. The families navigating that transfer deserve software built specifically for their complexity — not enterprise accounting tools stretched to fit, and not consumer apps that treat $50M like a savings account.

This is why Abacus is a software-plus-service model. We combine purpose-built tracking technology with an in-house White Glove Team of accountants and wealth professionals who do the operational work. Our clients should be focused on stewardship decisions, not data entry.

What Sets Abacus Apart

From Family Offices

Our entire management team and ownership came from family offices. We did not build a product and then find a market. We lived the problem first.

Software Plus Service

We are not just software. Our White Glove Team handles the accounting, monitoring, and reporting work so our clients can focus on what matters.

Flat-Fee Model

We charge a flat fee for our software-plus-service model. No percentage of assets under management. No hidden charges. You always know what you pay.

We Never Sell Your Data

Your financial data is among the most sensitive information that exists. We will never sell it, rent it, or monetize it in any form. Period.

Built for Complexity

From $10M balance sheets with operating businesses to multi-billion family offices with hundreds of alternative investments — our platform was designed for the full spectrum.

International Capabilities

We serve clients with assets and reporting requirements across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Our team operates in New York, Chicago, Miami, Denver, and San Diego.

Who We Serve

Our clients come from incredibly diverse backgrounds of wealth creation and they have equally diverse opinions on wealth interpretation. The core thesis behind our technology implementation is flexibility in the analysis of complex data.

Our clients will have hundreds if not thousands of documents and data connections that represent a cumulative definition of their wealth. Our goal is to collect and index their wealth documents into our relational database and then expose to them the tools of their choosing to analyze that complex data — via a diverse and custom library of plugins.

This is why our client base ranges from individuals with $10M balance sheets to multi-billion dollar family offices and RIAs looking for complex reporting. For all of these clients, we provide a flat fee, software-plus-service model, tracking their wealth and providing top-tier accounting, monitoring, and reporting.

“Technology in service of stewardship.”

Crafted with discretion by our team in New York, Chicago, Miami, Denver, San Diego, with international capabilities in Europe and Asia.
